President Bush Screws Women….AGAIN

This really shouldn’t be all that surprising.  President Bush hasn’t been too friendly toward women for the last 8 years, why would he resist one last blow to women’s health before exiting the oval office??  Naturally he didn’t.

The following is an excerpt from an email I got from Planned Parenthood.

“Now, anti-choice medical staff can withhold information about abortion, birth control, and sex education from their patients. Facilities that receive family planning funding, like Planned Parenthood, will have to certify that they will not refuse to hire nurses and other providers who object to abortion and even certain types of birth control. For example, a doctor who opposes pre-marital sex could refuse to provide a prescription or even information about emergency contraception to an unmarried woman. ”

I find this very disturbing.  Health care providers are supposed to offer the best care for their patients…not what is best for them.  I wonder if men and women’s roles were reversed if this would even be an issue?  Probably not.

10 Things You Should Know About John McCain and Sarah Palin

Especially if you are a woman.  I received an email today from Planned Parenthood.  It had a great list of things everyone should know about John McCain and Sarah Palin before heading out to vote!  Ignorance like this is dangerous to everyone.

1.  John McCain opposes equal pay legislation, saying it wouldn’t do “anything to help the rights of women.”

2.  John McCain opposes requiring health care plans to cover prescription birth control.

3.  John McCain and Sarah Palin oppose comprehensive, medically accurate sex education.

4.  John McCain opposes commonsense funding to prevent unintended teen pregnancies.

5.  John McCain and Sarah Palin want to tax health care benefits for the first time since the 1950s.

6.  John McCain opposes restoring family planning services for low-income women.

7.  Sarah Palin opposes abortion, even in the case of rape and incest.

8.  John McCain voted against the Violence Against Women Act, which ensures rape survivors are not charged for the emergency exams used to prosecute their attackers.  While Sarah Palin was mayor of Wasilla rape survivors were forced to py for their exams, which cost up to $1,200.00.

9.  When asked whether contraceptives help stop the spread of HIV, John McCain said he was “stumped”.

10.  In his 25 years in Washington, DC, John McCain has voted against women’s reproductive rights and privacy 125 times!!!

Sarah Palin…Feminist? No. Yes. No, Definitely Not.

So apparently our good friend Sarah Palin can’t make up her mind.  Today she isn’t.  Yesterday she was.  I’m thinking not considering her stands on women’s health.  I’m also wondering if Sarah Palin knows John McCain has NEVER supported women’s issues in the Senate.

Sarah, you are NO friend to women and neither is your running mate. is the best place for your personal blog or business site.
