Blagojevich…the Next Political Felon?

It’s been a wild news cycle for the State of Illinois today.  Governor Rod Blagojevich and his Chief of Staff, John Harris, were arrested on corruption charges today by FBI Agents.  Now that’s something you don’t see every day…  Apparently the Governor and his Chief of Staff felt the empty Senate Seat was worth something more than good will.  They weren’t too worried about qualified or serving anyone’s interests but their own.  They wanted cash, jobs, and jobs for their wives.

Apparently the Gov has been under investigation for quite some time now.  He was released today on $4,500 bail, which to me seems kind of weak!

Interesting tid bit…Illinois last governor is in the slammer for corruption charges.

All I’ve read in the last few days is…”Palin says this” or “Palin says that.”  Anybody else feeling like who the Hell cares what Sarah Palin has to say?  I just want to say, “Shut the Hell up!”

Apparently Sarah is calling on fellow Republican Governors to put aside petty partisanship and be ready when Washington fails to pick up the pieces.  Hello…partisanship!  I’m wondering though if she needs to read the definition again?

That’s right.  Hillary Clinton’s former campaign chairman and DNC Chairman has filed papers to set up a campaign committee to run for governor right here in my great state of Virginia.

I told you this was going to get interesting!

Virginia’s Governor’s Race could get Interesting…

Well Virignia has a governor’s race coming up in 2009.  While the rest of the country is either still counting 2008 votes, or talking about 2010 and 2012 we’ve got a race that is beginning to show signs of life.

Apparently the Republican running is Robert F. McDonnell.  He is a fiscal and social conservative.  On my side of the fence we’ve got Brian Moran, Creigh Deeds, and Terry McAuliffe (?) contemplating a run.  I’ve got a feeling this could get very very interesting.

I wonder though, now that Virignia’s gone blue…can it go back?!  Lets hope not!  I guess I’ve got some research to do in the next few weeks!

The state of Washington is once again locked in a dead heat in the race for governor.  The opponet is once again Dino Rossi.  Republican – and friendly to big business.  Hasn’t this country had enough of politicians that are uber friendly to big business?

If you’ve got friends in the state of Washington encourage them to vote!  Every vote will count.  Governor Gregoire won last time after three recounts by 133 votes!

Sarah Makes Claims She was in the Right

Okay, suprise suprise, Sarah “Fearmonger” Palin says she did nothing wrong.  Uh…I beg to differ.  Abuse of power is abuse of power, and this was as the Governor of Alaska.  Makes ya wonder what she is capable of if (God forbid) she is elected.
