Smart Liberal and Female

What’s Wrong with Him? Or in this Case, Them??

Rush Limbaugh.  His name alone is enough to make my lip curl.  He is the boil on the ass of society.

Sean Hannity.  Well, he just plain gives me the creeps.  He looks all nice and normal, and then he opens his mouth, and whamo.  It’s like holy shit-that’s an awful lot of anger and hate for one man.  He kinda reminds me of the Iranian President,  Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, you know normal on the outside seriously whacked on the inside.  And hey, Sean, I did just liken you to Ahmadinejad because you too are ANGRY and NUTS!!

Apparently “the game” is on.  The crazy right is flanking the Obama Presidency already.  This should be a good time.  I wonder why they haven’t figured out they are part of the current Repubican Party’s problem.  No one wants to hear it anymore.  We are hated and feared out.

Conservatives Blame Moderate Republicans for Loses, HUH?

Or so says the right wing nut job Tony Perkins from the Family Research Council. He urges conservatives to get back to small government….of course unless you are talking about my body, my choice, my sex life, my marriage, or prayer!

Watch Christian leader Jim Wallis give him the what for… God forbid Christians focus on poverty and helping people rather than spreading hate and fear and bigotry.

Reminds me of my favorite political person of all times…Paul Wellstone.  Here’s a quote from him.

“Politics is not about power.  Politics is not about money.  Politics is not about winning for the sake of winning.  Politics is about the improvement of people’s lives.  it’s about advancing the cause of peace and justice in our country and in our world.  Politics is about doing well for people.”

Apparently Northern Virginia isn’t Real…So Does that Make it Fake???

Nancy Pfotenauer says McCain camp is out campaigning in “real Virginia”…ie… outside of Northern Virginia.  Hear that Northern Virginia.  Team McCain doesn’t think we are real.  We apparently all moved out of the District to Northern Virginia.

Hmmm…I’ve got friends that grew up in Northern Virginia.  I moved to Northern Virginia from rural Midwest.  Are we not really here?

Everytime I hear people from Team McCain, I wonder what the Hell they are thinking.

Well they aren’t the only ones.  But I’ll let them have some fun.  Doesn’t seem right that Americans would get all the fun now does it?

Blue States – Who’s Next?

Okay, so I just got home from a quick trip to the Midwest.  Out and back in two days.  Yuck.  As my daughter is studying for her Economics test (have I mentioned that she’s 8! – Don’t get me started on this load of crap!), I opened my computer to see what’s in the news.

Mike Duhaime, and for those of you who don’t know who that is…he’s the yutz that steered the Giulliani ship into the ground, is quoted saying Iowa, Minnesota, and Pennsylvania are republican RED states.  Now, having lived in all three I’d beg to differ with Duhaime (on oh so many things).

First of all you may note that Iowa has a Democratic Governor, Chet Culver.  You may also note, they have one Republican and one Democrat serving in the Senate.  I’m not sure that qualifies as a Republican stonghold.  Now Iowa did go for Bush, I’m ashamed to say, but barely!  To be fair, a little over 1/2 of a percent.  Wow Duhaime, that’s amazing.

Second of all, Minnesota is the land of Paul Wellstone.  I don’t think anyone is confused about what party the late great Senator came from!  And historically it’s been a toss up there!  They have recently elected a Democrat to the Senate…in 06…you might remember that Mike.  It’s when the Republicans lost control of the Senate.

Third of all, Pennsylvania has a Democratic Governor!  And can I say went BLUE in 04?!?

So maybe that’s one of the reasons Mike didn’t do such a great job steering Giulliani.  Either he can’t read,   doesn’t understand percentages, or he is delusional.  Hell, I’ll go as far as say all three.

So good luck McCain.  Duhaime’s a real winner.

hahahahahaha….

Oh and by the way, Mike, if you haven’t noticed Virginia is trending BLUE!!  Whoo hoo!!!

They’re back…The Clintons are Out Stumping for Obama…Finally

I’m glad to see the political fighting machines are back in service.  I’ve been wondering where they’ve been!  It’s good to see the Democratic Party uniting and fighting back evil.  We’ve got just over three weeks till the election, and the Democrats must get out there and have their message heard.

Now…where’s Al Gore???

I’m headed to Richmond tonight to hear what Bill Clinton’s got to say.  Pictures and story to follow.
