Smart Liberal and Female

Yummy with a Capital Y!

So my husband knows I would never cheat on him, but if I ever did (I wouldn’t) or if I wanted to have adulterous lustful thoughts (I’ll cop to those)  they’d definitely include Senator Schumer!  I don’t know what it is about that guy, but for me he is hottie mc hot pants.  Totally does it for me.  And can I just say he looks better and better every day….sigh…

I may be adding to my lustful day dreams though.  I was on the Hill Thursday (ha-sounds pretentious doesn’t it?) and a very attractive man walked past me with quite the charming grin.  I smiled at him, hello any girl would, and thought man he looks familiar!  Well about 2 minutes later and confirmation from a stranger I was right.  It was none other than North Carolina’s Senator Burr.  Now put politics aside for a minute, that guy looks good. Tan.  Fit.  Handsome.  And well…a little bit rogue or naughty…

Of course I came home and told the hubby I had a new fantasy.  I can’t decide if he’s amused or not.  He counted with I have the same about Nancy Pelosi.  I rolled my eyes and said those fantasies don’t count…I’m sure it involved feces.

Saxby – YOU SUCK

Okay. Seriously. I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE this guy. You know why, he sucks. Why does he suck? Max Cleland, need I say more?

This moron garnered more votes in Georgia than the Democrat, Jim Martin, and the Libertarian, Allen Buckley, but didn’t stay above 50%. I would like to take this time to tell the 1,964,894 people in Georgia that voted for Buckley and Chambliss, YOU TOO ARE MORONS.

If this doesn’t tell you where the Republican Party is right now, I don’t know what else would! Well maybe the Senate race in North Carolina… Anyway, back to Saxby Pfucker Chambliss…he couldn’t win Georgia with more than 50% of the vote so they are off to a run off.

I’ve half a mind to get on a plane and go down there and knock on some doors for Martin!

Where Does the Republican Party Go From Here?

Well…to Hell in a hand basket if they don’t change their ways!  Hahahahaha.  Okay, okay.  I’m not being a very gracious winner I know.  I’m not sure after the shenanigans this election they deserve anything except what they got.

I’m grateful to see the Anti-American, real American, and all that other crap didn’t work for them this election.  If anything it completely backfired.  Think about it.  What was John McCain’s message?  I’m a war hero.  Well, okay, I’ll give you that, but remember in 2004 the Republican Party lead by George W. Bush and Karl Rove proved that didn’t mean anything.  The attacks on Senator Kerry pretty much said, we don’t give a shit about your service.  So why would anyone think that McCain could get away with running on that alone?  What was his message?  He offered little to no solution on any of the issues America is facing.  All he had was scare tactics.

In addition, Sarah Palin had no message.  What did that lady say?  She rarely strung together complete sentences.  And when she did, she was launching personal attacks on Barack Obama or claiming to be in “real” America.  She had NO experience to speak of.  She had a pregnant unwed teenage daughter, and it’s hard to advocate abstinence only and morality with all that going on.  And before you get your panties in a bundle, I’m not attacking her for the teenage daughter or the daughter.  I honestly could care less.  However the hypocrisy of it all does stick in my craw.

Another casualty of their own attack ads was Elizabeth Dole.  She didn’t run on her experience.  She didn’t run on her leadership in the American Red Cross.  When the race got tight, she got desperate and stupid and ran a bunch of personal attack ads on her opponent.  She didn’t offer sensible solutions and leadership, she went with hate and fear and Godless crap attack ads.  I can’t say I’ve ever been more disappointed with a Senator.  I had real respect for her, and man on man did she completely lose it.  I’m sure she doesn’t care, but apparently the good people of North Carolina weren’t impressed either.

The question is where do they go from here?  From where I’ve been sitting they’ve got a huge tent and a very small door.  If that door continues to shrink, no one will be able to get in.  And why would they want to?  They have been preaching hate and fear for nearly a decade and it’s finallly caught up with them.  Until they rid themselves of the crazy that has hijacked their party I don’t see much improving.

In addition, they have claimed for years to be the party of less government, however we have the largest government ever!  And it seems when it comes to less government, we are only talking regulation of big business.  When it comes to my body, my religion, or my bedroom they want to regulate the hell out of me.

Tolerance.  Humility.  Acceptance.  Those are three words they just can’t seem to grasp.

Mississippi in Play Now Too???

Who would have thought?  Not I!  Democratic challenger Ronnie Musgrove is giving Roger Wicker a run for his money in the state of Mississippi.

So we’ve got how many Republican seats in trouble now???  Lets see…Georgia, Kentucky, Alaska, New Hampshire, Virginia, Colorado, New Mexico, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oregon…and now Mississippi.

Who’s next?  Oklahoma?  Maine?  Nebraska?

That Beautiful Magical Number: 60

60.  The new 20.  No, not really, but a pretty great number if the Democrats can make it happen.  Imagine it, we get Barack Obama and Joe Biden in the White House…but that’s not all we have for our winners Johnny, we’ve got a clear majority in the Senate.  Sixty seats!  This is where the crowd goes wild!  We also have a growing majority in the House of Representatives.

Whoo hoo baby.  Good times are coming.

What seats are up for grabs?  How do we get to 60?  I’m glad I asked!  Let me tell you!

Democrats are leading or gaining in…

New Mexico:  Tom Udall leading Steve Pearce in this once held Republican seat

Alaska:  Mark Begich tied up with incumbent Ted I’m a Crook Stevens

Colorado:  Mark Udall beating Bob Schaffer in another open formerly Republican seat

North Carolina:  Kay Hagen is giving incumbent Elizabeth Dole a run for her money.

New Hampshire:  Jeanne Shaheen is giving incumbent John Sununu Hell.

Minnesota:  Al Franken is knocking down incumbent Norm the Worm Coleman

Oregon:  Jeff Merkley has another incumbant in trouble, Gordon Smith

Georgia:  Jim Martin is gaining on Saxby I’m a Real Jackass Chambliss

Kentucky:  Bruce Lunsford gaining on Mitch McConnell

Another Republican Jumps on Board the Crazy Train!

Is it me, or are we seeing a theme?

First Governor Palin makes statements about Obama “palling around with terrorists”.  Then she goes on to say she likes visiting the pockets of “real America”.   A spokeswoman from the McCain campaign (Nancy Pfotenhauer) goes on to talk about the “real Virginia”.  Next we’ve got Crazy Congresswoman Bachmann from Minnesota saying that Obama and other members of Congress are “Anti-American”.  Then she says she didn’t say it…but we all know you did!!  Liar (still fun for me)!!  And now we’ve got Congressman Robin Hayes from North Carolina saying “liberals hate real Americans that work and accomplish and achieve and believe in God.”  Then he says he didn’t say it, but again WE KNOW YOU DID!!  LIAR MCLIAR PANTS – I gotta say, still fun!

So Liberals are Anti-American, live in “fake Virginia”, hate America, and lets not forget we hate working people and God too!!  These are good times.  Do they pass out crazy water at Republican conventions?  Is there a special class they take?

I will go as far to say not all Republicans are saying this stuff.  There are even a few that are running from it or speaking out against it, but where are the rest of them?

The crazy train is moving full steam ahead…who’s next?  Any ideas???

Traditionally Red…Gone Blue!

We keep reading about all these red states John McCain is having to defend.  Well historically they may have been red, but the color blue is sweeping the nation!  It’s an exciting time.  I’ve just registered to vote in the state of Virginia.  I moved here a few months ago and the primary was over, so I guess I did what I typically do and put it to the last minute.

Thankfully my voter reg card has come, and one more Democrat supporting Senators Obama and Biden will be voting in Virginia in November.  And, hey no worries about where my vote was before.  I’m feeling pretty confident California will go blue, even without my vote!

New Hampshire, Colorado, Minnesota…Where Next?

Georgia, North Carolina, and Kentucky!!

Georgia – I posted the other day about Saxby Chambliss and what should have been a blow out down in the deep South, but Senator Chambliss is running for his life.  His life in the Senate that is.   Now I’ll admit I am not a fan of this particular Senator for more than one reason.  Lets start with his name, Saxby.  It is stupid.  That’s right I’ll say it, STUPID!  Second of all he is the complete dirty rotten bastard that lead the attack on Max Cleland a few years ago.  You might remember Congressman Cleland, guy lost both legs and an arm in Vietnam.  Anyway, spineless nefarious Chambliss ran an attack ad on Max Cleland and needless to say Max lost a limb he didn’t have to give to American again!  So yeah…I HATE SAXBY CHAMBLISS!!!  Did I mention that young Saxby didn’t bother serving in Vietnam due to a bad knee??  Yeah too bad one of his “hobbies” is JOGGING!

Next!

North Carolina -Elizabeth Dole –   Married to Bob Dull…meant Dole…no I really didn’t!  Okay I’ll admit she’s really not too bad of a Senator in many ways.  I don’t agree with her on abortion, but she’s atleast willing to account for rape, incest, and a mother’s life.  Quite honestly if McCain wanted to pick a woman, why not Elizabeth Dole.  She’s far better than the classless hick he picked!

And finally Kentucky – Mitch McConnell – Here’s a real peach.  He’s voted against expanding health care for veterans.  He voted against expanding mental health care for veterans.  And guess what boys and girls, he voted AGAINST the GI Bill expansion.  LOSER!  Need I say more?

Saxby Chambliss…we’re coming to get you!

It looks like the race in Georgia has heated up.  We’re targeting New Hampshire, Minnesota, Colorado, Alaska, Virginia, Oregon, North Carolina, and…..GEORGIA?!?!?!?!?!!?

WOW.  Are we thinking we could hit 60 seats in the Senate.  I sure hope so because I’d really like to tell Joe “I’m a loser” Lieberman where to stick it!
